This music video was directed and filmed by Charlie Visnic and Steve Elkins for the "Water Tiger" record by Frank Lenz (Pedro The Lion, Everest, Starflyer 59, Lassie Foundation, Richard Swift, etc). Charlie is an electronics hacker, an editor in the motion picture industry, and inventor of the 64(Video)Fingers live performance app for making music out of video clips.
Some of this footage was shot while Charlie committed himself to an entire year (2010 - 2011) of doing one new creative thing a day, which resulted in making a zoetrope out of cigarette packs, Cathode tube light paintings, paperclip sculptures, foil stencils to cook art into toast, a garden hose that creates natural delay in audio signals, functional wireless speakers out of Ikea salad bowls, hip hop beats out of samples from Patrick Swayze fight scenes, miniature terrarium landscapes inside light bulbs, micro sculptures on pencil tips, a short film starring real bacteria, translations of national election results into hole-punch scores for music box, homemade 3D photographs for homemade Viewmaster reels, a giant bubble blower and bubble mix formula, a three-pendulum Harmonograph, a Rice Krispie Death Star, shadow puppet animations, series of cartoon characters based on patterns found in concrete, modular patching and origami, plus much more.
